Jim Sturgess plays Hae-Joo Chang in the film Cloud Atlas. The film focuses on several story lines through reincarnation. When the storyline introduces a Korean reincarnation, actors used eye prosthetics to alter their apperance. This created much discussion on the issue of yellowfacing and how, even today, it is an issue that needs to be addressed.

Michael Le comments that,  the "Korea sequence is especially problematic because it portrays many real Asian women as servile all-look-same clones."
